Streamly IPTV – Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Streamly IPTV ("the app") is an IPTV media player developed by Sidequests. This policy explains what information the app accesses, how it is used, and how your privacy is protected. By using Streamly IPTV you agree to this policy.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Streamly IPTV does not collect, transmit, or share:

• Your name, email address, or any account information
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or crash reports sent to third parties
• Any content you stream, download, or clip

3. Information Stored Locally on Your Device

Streamly IPTV stores the following data in a private database on your device. This data never leaves your device and is only accessible by the app:

• Playlist credentials — the server address, username, and password for any IPTV playlists you add
• Channel and content library — channel lists, movie catalogues, and series information fetched from your playlists
• Favourites and watch history — channels, movies, and series you have marked or previously watched
• Downloaded files — movies or episodes you have saved for offline viewing, stored in the app's private Documents folder
• Clips — video segments you have recorded inside the player, stored in the app's private Documents folder
• App preferences — settings such as theme and sort order

You can delete all locally stored data at any time by removing the app from your device.

4. Network Requests

The app makes network requests solely to the IPTV servers you configure. These requests are used to:

• Fetch your channel list, movie catalogue, and series library
• Stream live TV, movies, and episodes
• Download content for offline viewing
• Load poster artwork and channel logos

Streamly IPTV has no backend servers of its own. All network communication goes directly between your device and the IPTV service you have chosen to use. The privacy practices of that service are governed by its own policy.

5. Local Network Access

Streamly IPTV requests access to your local network to discover AirPlay and Chromecast-compatible devices for casting. No data from your local network is recorded or transmitted externally.

6. Notifications

If you grant permission, Streamly IPTV sends local notifications to alert you when a background download completes or fails. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and are not routed through any external notification service.

7. Third-Party Services

Streamly IPTV does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or data-collection SDKs. The open-source libraries used for media playback (LibVLC) and UI components operate entirely on-device and do not transmit data.

8. Children's Privacy

Streamly IPTV is not directed at children under the age of 17. The app streams user-supplied content which may include material unsuitable for minors. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with a revised date at the top. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
